Why did I choose this name for my blog, you ask?
It’s simple…growing up, some of my fondest memories were attending games at Shea stadium in flushing. There were a few things that always stood out in my memory of Shea.
-the giant scoreboard
-the huge green lawn
-the royal blue walls
In 2009 the Mets moved into Citi Field. Do not get me wrong, I love this park. It is a great place to watch a game and i am proud to call it home. However, the biggest gripe I have with the building is the BLACK walls. Black is an accent color for the mets, not a main color.
If they painted the walls blue, it would add character and make it feel more like the home of the NY Mets.
So, if anyone at the Mets is reading, please paint the walls. At least that way, when they lose, they can lose in a true Mets stadium.
